초록
트럼프 미 대통령은 취임 전부터 미국이 그린란드를 확보해야 한다는 주장을 해왔다. 국가안보라는 이유를 들고 있지만, 구체적인 내용은 공개되지 않았다. 이 논문에서는 미국 입장에서 그린란드가 가진 전략적 가치를 군사, 북극항로, 지하자원 측면에서 고찰하고 한국에 주는 함의를 도출한다.
Abstract
President Trump has consistently advocated for the acquisition of Greenland, citing national security as the primary justification, though specific details remain undisclosed. This paper examines Greenland's strategic value from the U.S. perspective, focusing on military significance, Arctic shipping routes, and underground resources, while also deriving implications for Republic of Korea.
