
특허정보를 활용한 미사일 기술 동향 분석

초록
본 연구는 특허 데이터를 기반으로 미사일 기술의 발전 동향과 핵심기술을 체계적으로 분석하고, 이를 통해 연구개발 전략 수립에 기여하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 1960년부터 2023년까지의 PATSTAT 2024 데이터베이스를 활용하여 미사일 관련 특허를 수집하고, 기본적인 출원 현황 분석을 수행하였다. 이후 특허 간 인용 정보를 바탕으로 기술 네트워크를 구성하고, 시기별로 노드 수, 엣지 수 등 주요 네트워크 토폴로지 지표를 분석하였다. 아울러 커뮤니티 탐지 기법을 적용하여 기술 커뮤니티를 식별하고, 시간의 흐름에 따른 주요 기술 영역의 변화 양상을 추적하였다. 분석 결과, 미사일 기술 네트워크는 점차 복잡성과 밀집도가 증가하는 경향을 보이며, 최근에는 탐색/추적 및 유도/항법 기술 중심으로 기술 집중도가 이동하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study aims to systematically analyze the development trends and core technologies of missile systems based on patent data, thereby contributing to the formulation of research and development R&D strategies. To this end, missile related patents were collected using the PATSTAT 2024 database, covering the period from 1960 to 2023, and a basic analysis of filing trends was conducted. Subsequently, a technology network was constructed using patent citation information, and key topological indicators such as the number of nodes and edges were analyzed over different time periods. In addition, community detection techniques were applied to identify technological Communities, and changes in major technology areas over time were traced. The analysis revealed that the missile technology network has become increasingly complex and dense, with a recent shift in technological focus toward detection/tracking and guidance/navigation technologies.
