Abstract
This study presents a concept of operations for electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors within shipboard hybrid counter-UAS systems, defining the sensor role distribution across the detect–track–identify–engage–assess engagement cycle. Maritime environmental factors were categorized into atmospheric optical, sea background, and ship platform groups, and their qualitative effects on EO/IR performance were analyzed.
