Abstract
This study verifies the necessity of an intelligence-based manned–unmanned integrated combat system and proposes naval military innovation measures for its application to naval operations, based on lessons learned from the Russia–Ukraine War and a SWOT analysis of the operational environment of the Republic of Korea Navy. In particular, future directions for naval operations are suggested by presenting measures in three dimensions: the establishment of an AI-based intelligent battlefield management system, development of operational concepts for intelligent maritime surveillance in peacetime and offensive sea control in wartime, and organization of a Naval Intelligence Convergence Center and manned–unmanned integrated maritime battle group.
